Welcome to the world of Queer creative Tadhg bentham. i started my podcast fishnets and philosophy, as i wanted a dedicate space where i could discuss horror and genre cinema, whilst also bringing in wider discussions on society and the human condition.

I studied philosophy and graduated with a Masters, and I have a deep love for continental philosophy and in particular phenomenology. Though my admiration for philosophy has never gone away, I did fall quickly disillusioned with the world of academia, and how inaccessible it was. I wanted to take the skills and knowledge I gained during my studies and use my podcast as a platform to reach a wider audience, because I am a firm believer that philosophy is a topic which all people should have knowledge of.

In addition my podcast, I have always found joy in writing, so I wanted to combine the pleasure I get from writing, with my pleasure of watching films - I am a hedonist after all. My goal in pursuing writing about film and media, is to one day have an essay or commentary on a physical media release. In a world that is increasingly leaning towards digital media, I think it is incredibly important to preserve physical media, and being a part of that work would be such a privilege.

I hope you enjoy reading my writing and listening to my podcast, and if you have anything you would like to see me cover in the future please contact me via email: fishnetsandphilosophy@proton.me
